Weis collaborated with performer Scott Heron over the course of several years to develop Bad Spot in which the video feedback effect creates an environment that suggests looking back through time.

After they completed the work during a residency at Bennington College, they sent a video to composer Zeena Parkins. She then composed the score to the video, in much the same way that a movie soundtrack is created.
