An Evening with Gary Chryst and William Whitener, moderated by Wendy Perron
Gary Chryst and William Whitener will share their experiences as leading dancers during the 1970s and '80s. They performed with the Joffrey Ballet, where they worked directly with such guest choreographers as Leonide Massine, Kurt Jooss, Jerome Robbins and Twyla Tharp. Both dancers will also discuss their work with Bob Fosse in his Broadway show, Dancin' and Chryst’s subsequent work staging the musical Chicago, worldwide. Video clips will accompany the conversation, which will be moderated by dance writer Wendy Perron.
