Northern Harmony, the dynamic world music choir based in Vermont, includes sixteen singers, and is led by Larry Gordon. The group will present a mix of world harmony traditions including South African songs and dances, traditional polyphony from Georgia, Corsica, and the Balkans, American shape-note singing and quartet gospel, and renaissance motets. About to embark on their sixteenth European tour, Northern Harmony has gained a reputation for their remarkable command of the different singing styles and timbres appropriate to these different traditions. The upcoming two month tour will take them up and down the East Coast, and then to the UK, Switzerland, France and Germany.
