A screening of single-channel video work by Bill Viola will explore the artist's interests in notions of time experienced directly and considered metaphorically. Perception has long been at the base of Viola’s work, and these early works, including I Do Not Know What It Is I Am Like (1986), will show how what began as direct investigation of the physical aspects of seeing and hearing led the artist to works engaged in his own personal internal/spiritual journey. A discussion with Davidson Gigliotti and David Ross will follow.

All Sundays on Broadway events are free and open to the public.

All events begin at 6:00pm. Doors open at 5:45pm at WeisAcres, 537 Broadway, #3. There are no reservations. Seating is first come, first served. Keep in mind, this is a small space! Please arrive on time out of courtesy to the artists.
