Curators' bios:

David Guzman (co-curator) is a cross-disciplinary performer who loves and honors lichens. His performance workshops How to Love a Lichen 101 and Treeing invite passers-by to meet urban ecologies and get intimate with the more-than-human. Guzman is a member of Circus Amok and Ukrainian Village Voices. He is currently on tour with Faye Driscoll’s Obie Award-winning Weathering, and in process for Maia Chao’s new work at the Whitney Biennial. Other credits include Faye Driscoll’s Oceanic Feeling at Beach Sessions, Eli Nixon’s Wrack Zone at The Public, Larissa Velez Jackson’s Yackez at Chapman Steamer Arts, Mina Nishimura’s Mapping a Forest... at Jacob’s Pillow and Danspace Project, LEIMAY’s A Meal at HERE Arts, and Aaron Landsman’s Night Keeper at The Chocolate Factory. Guzman is the English translator of Isadorino Gore’s Experiments in Choreology…, a kaleidoscopic Russian dance manual that excavates the legacy of early Soviet contemporary dance. He is the personal assistant to choreographers Ishmael Houston-Jones, Miguel Gutierrez, and Cathy Weis. He is beyond excited to be co-curating Sundays on Broadway this year.

Cathy Weis is a dancer, choreographer, producer, and videographer. She has been a soloist in the Louisville Ballet, played in a cello quartet in Europe, tap-danced on the streets of San Francisco, and did a stint as a disco queen. She moved to New York City in 1983. Since then, she has been the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship in dance and a Bessie Award for creativity. In 2014, she founded Sundays on Broadway, a showcase for choreographers and performance artists that runs two full seasons annually, and is now in its 12th consecutive year.

Zo Williams (co-curator) is a dancer and dance maker living and working in Brooklyn. Since graduating from Bennington College, Williams has performed in Plot Hole by evan ray suzuki, Beacons by Anna Sperber, Our Potential by Chloë Engel, Kingdom by Jade Manns, and Magenta Tinsel, Concussion Piece, and Presto by Jennifer Miller. Williams has completed two five-borough tours of New York City as a stilt dancer and general company member with the free political circus Circus Amok. Williams is currently in process with Owen Prum and John Jasperse, and is very excited to be co-curating this season of Sundays on Broadway.
