December 4, 2016: The Building Show by Cathy Weis

Due to an overwhelming response, reservations for this event are now closed.
Cathy Weis’ newest performance installation The Building Show focuses on “her star performer”—The 537 Broadway building itself.
Last spring, she expanded her multi-room installation to include a performance by Douglas Dunn and Dancers with Kevin Lovelady in Dunn's loft at 541 Broadway. The dance was viewed from Weis’ windows across the courtyard between the two lofts.
This fall, the installation is set entirely within the 537 Broadway building. Weis guides the audience through its creaky halls to witness performances occurring on three different floors. Each live performance integrates bits and pieces of the building’s history and takes place in the spaces where the history was made.
Performers include: Greg Corbino, Tyler Fairbanks, Maura Gahan, Patrick Gallagher, Kevin Lovelady, Maria Manhattan, Jennifer Miller, Saori Tsukada and Cathy Weis.
Please note: This event requires audience members to climb the stairs between floors at 537 Broadway. The elevator will not be available for the audience. We won’t be moving quickly but if you feel this will be too difficult, please join us for a performance next season at WeisAcres.
